BERLIN - DELHI crossroads - 2

This time I sent a drawing first. I spotted this boy selling roasted corn. The text in Hindi says 'Butta mil gaya' - translated as 'I got corn' and is a pun on a popular old hindi movie song."

Ulli sent the drawing on the right in return. He runs less than he stands. The Grillrunner at Alexanderplatz has to carry his shop entirely on his body. He would loose his license to sell hot sausages, if he'd sit down or props up the grill anyhow. While waiting for costumers in the hot midsummer sun, he is entertaining himself by drumming a techno beat with his tongs.

BERLIN - DELHI crossroads - 1

Ulli Lust and I are playing a little game. I met Ulli as part of a comics residency this spring and we both realised we love making drawings of people in the cities that we live in. So, we decided that when she sees an interesting person in Berlin, she would send me a drawing of that person and I would respond with a drawing from Delhi of someone similar or completely the opposite. You can also see the drawings  here. Here's the first set from the BERLIN - DELHI crossroads.
