Bookaroo part 2

Last weekend, I took a workshop with the amazing
Sara Lundberg a Swedish illustrator visiting Delhi as
part of Bookaroo . Little kids are so amazingly creative!
They don't have to try at all. The workshop was titled
'It's in my nature' and the kids had to make characters out
of leaves, twigs and dry flowers that were collected and
given to them .

You sickular, libtard, tree people!

A few drawings back, Orijit Sen of people tree asked me to  cast my wickedest eye
on a typical 'People Tree type' couple. What best way to do it than to cast the wonderful
themselves! For those of you who don't know, Gurpreet Sidhu and Orijit Sen
together started People Tree about 25 years ago with a vision of combining
social purpose with ecological responsibility . It's now become an institution that visitors
to Delhi make it a point to drop into.

Bookaroo 2014

Here are some images from a workshop I took for some lovely kids from the french embassy school in Delhi. We had fun making colourful birds out of junk. This was part of Bookaroo, an annual children's literature festival held in Delhi. Some of my original art is also part of an exhibition at Triveni Kala Sangam till the 25th and at IGNCA from the 26th to the 30th of this month. There are also some of my other wonderful illustrator friends exhibiting. Do drop in with your kids if you have the time.

The news is never good

I read/watch most news online these days and it's been months of bad news and watching reporters and analysts with immaculate hairstyles disseminate information. I was doodling while listening to the news over the past few days and finished this page in my sketchbook yesterday.

The sky is falling

The Bargad (Banyan tree) that stands in front of my block,  last evening, suddenly started dropping its fruit with
soft apocalyptic 'plops'.
